100 Copies of The Kind Knight donated to Together We Rise

In case you didn't know, partial proceeds from The Kind Knight will be sent quarterly to one of my favorite organizations: Together We Rise.
Together We Rise is a nationwide nonprofit that benefits children who are transitioning through foster care. They also help families who are interested in fostering these children, and provide training and support.
But made me really interested in this organization, is the passion that is within every post I read on Facebook, every video on their webpage, and every interaction I have had with their staff. Their care for these children is beyond kindness. It is love.
Every child deserves a chance at a happy life, and with Together We Rise's help, every day foster kids across the nation are getting their chance.
One of the many cool things Together We Rise does for kids is provides them with "sweet cases" while traveling through the foster care system so that they don't have to put their belongings in trash bags--which, sadly, tends to be the norm.
Each sweet case comes with a sturdy duffel bag, a hygiene kit, blanket, color books, and other special touches to give comfort to kids in tough situations. You can actually sponsor a sweet case for $25 on Together We Rise's webpage here:  http://www.togetherwerise.org/projects/sweetcases.
NOW, to the exciting part. :D
I am happy to officially announce that 100 copies of The Kind Knight have been donated and will be placed into sweet cases for some very groovy kids in need.

While I don't have much to give, It is my sincere hope that what I have given makes some very deserving children happy. I hope these books teach them that even though they might have hit a bump in the road, there are people out there who are kind, wonderful, and love them very much.
I hope that The Kind Knight teaches them that kindness is always cool, patience is important, and that friends will always be considerate and help each other. But most of all I hope that it makes them smile.
If you would like to learn more about Together We Rise and their efforts check them out:
Again, thank you again for all your wonderful support!
Be Kind,
Kelly Airhart

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
