Levi is driving us back from Tampa to go pick up the boys from the babysitter.
We just saw Garrison Keillor and it was amazing.
He opened the show by hosting a little sing a long and then went on to tell so many amazing stories.
Some highlights:
Him talking about how he still believes in God even though all the proof is stacked against him, and how he is going to be pissed if he gets to the end of his life and finds out he should have been an atheist...lol.
I also loved him telling the story about how his first radio gig was in college and he took the noon news gig...and about after 6 months into being on air, a maintenance man came to check on the transmitter, only to find out it had been turned off for about a year...lol. So no one ever heard his very first broadcasts...But he used that time in the studio on his resume and got his next gig.
So many good stories and songs...and lymrics and poems.
I am so happy we went.
And I am even more happy I got to meet him after the show and have him sign his book for Elijah....and hear him say Elijah's sweet name.
This is all bittersweet. Tonight...my life.
I am so happy tonight...but I still miss you like crazy kiddo.
Happy to see such an amazing storyteller
In person and hear such amazing stories...
And then to meet him and hear Him say your name.
It was beautiful.
I hope you got to see some of It too.
I love and miss you.
