515: 4 Little Heart Shaped Boxes of Chocolate

It is 10:56pm.

I just want to take this blog to say thank you to everyone who remembers Elijah.

Today we got a package from a family member and it was full of awesome Batman gifts. (Batman is one of our signs for Elijah).

But what really meant the most to me, is that there were 4 little heart shaped boxes of chocolates for Valentine's Day and each one of them had a name written on it. One for Alex. One for Julien. One for Gabriel. And one for Elijah.

Now, I know that Elijah will never hold this box of chocolates or ever eat them, but he is still my son and it means the world to me when he is still included.

I keep all his Christmas cards, Birthday cards, little gifts and little treasures on a shelf. And when I look at them and know that he is not forgotten it makes the pain of him being "gone" a little less lighter.

Death never changed the fact that he is my son.

So thank you to all of you who remember him through acts of kindness, cards or presents, or commenting or liking photos of him on my social media-- because you are what keeps a little piece of him "alive" for me.

Not much else to say tonight. I am chatting with a sweet friend of mine and probably need to be getting to bed soon.

I am so thankful for such a wonderful day and all the wonderful people who are in my life. Yes, that includes you if you read this blog. You are wonderful ;)

Good night everyone. Sending you lots of love and sweet dreams. Tomorrow wake up ready to change the world. You can do it!

OH! One last thing. Check out this blog post I found today. I love it so much, I wanted to share it with everyone.

It is called "Nice People Don't Change The World."

READ IT HERE

And keep on praying! (But don't forget to get out there and do something too).

Pray for our world. Pray for our country. Pray for my family. Pray for me. Pray for you! And always always pray for my sweet Elijah.

Hi Elijah!
I put your little box of chocolates on the shelf.
It has Snoopy on it and it says "Love."
It makes my heart so full when other people let me know
that you are being remembered.
But as long as your dad, brothers, and I are alive
I promise you,
you will never be forgotten.
We love and miss you so much
my boogie.
Always.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
