Today I want to remind you to do "it" for you.
Whatever "it" may be.
In the last few days I have seen a couple of my friends ask their friends on Facebook if they started a blog or made videos would anyone read or watch.
I have even been there before--asking for approval (as if I really ever actually wait for that approval).
Just the other day I was asking people what they thought about my school bus seat angels...
But the truth is, if you are thinking about writing a blog, or making a youtube channel, you are going to have to come to the harsh realization that a lot of people you know are not going to read your blog or watch your videos.
I can attest to this, because I have over 1,000 Facebook "friends" and I average about 100 readers a night on my blog (sometimes more if something dramatic is going on because nosey people love drama).
And out of those 1,000 something people who are my friends on the book of faces, I have been extremely lucky if I can get more than 20 views a video right now.
But has it stopped me? No.
Am I an exceptional example of what you would want to be as a blogger or YouTuber? lol....probably not either.
But I do it for me.
And I do it because it is good for my soul.
My writing has helped me survive the most horrible moments of my life. It has helped release that which I can not carry in my soul, or on my shoulders.
My YouTube Videos are my happy reminder that my family and I are living our dreams.
But my most favorite moments in all of these adventures are those when you guys have messaged me letting me know that you are inspired by my words, or you have found hearts and knew Elijah was near, or when you thanked me for helping you in some sort of way I could have never imagined.
So what am I rambling about again?
Oh yes, if you do what you love and do it for you, you will find that the "followers" will come in time. And they will follow you because they can see the love you put into what you do.
I hope all that made sense, it has been a while since I tried to blog about anything inspirational lol.
I love you guys! Make your dreams come true. Do it for you! And go out there and change the world.
Please keep praying for our world. Pray for our country. Pray for my family. Pray for me. Pray for you! And always always pray for my sweet Elijah.
Thank you.
"To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever."
Tonight we finished watching the last movie in the Harry Potter Series.
I have found that the connections I hold with this story have grown significantly
since the passing of Elijah.
I watched the movies when I was younger
and I was always sad when Harry missed his parents,
and I was always sad when Harry missed his parents,
but I never really understood the depths
of his sadness until now.
However,
I think the story also shows that there is a certain magic in the love we share with those special people in our lives who have gone before us--
and that is what makes Harry Potter so beautiful to me.

"Stay close,"
Elijah.
"Always"
