I guess I don't know how to count, because I swore I looked it up the other day, and today we should be exactly 999 days from Elijah's passing, but I am still only counting 998. Idk...silly math.
But today is Elijah's 3rd birthday. The birthdays aren't really getting any easier, we all still cried and missed Elijah like crazy. I don't imagine that will ever change though....
It has been another weird day in a streak of week days.
It started with donuts and swimming, and then there was a rain storm so we decided to go to this adorable children's museum until Julien's finger tips started to mysteriously starting to blister and burn and we had to go to the ER--because what is a vacation without Julien going to the ER lol.
Anyways, we did manage to have some cupcakes and sing Elijah happy birthday, and our fundraiser for Elijah's Smiles reached $440 AND we had a projector donated!!! I am so excited. The projector is going to make our school speeches so much more exciting to watch lol. And with the $440 I should be able to get a pretty decent sound system and a screen for the projector. The other things will all fall in line for sure.
I know we are going to make Elijah very proud.
Thank you to all of you who have sent us love today and wished Elijah a happy birthday. If I haven't thanked you personally yet, I will get to it. Today has just been an emotional and eventful day.
I think I am about to go to sleep. Tomorrow we head back to Natchitoches, and we still have to bring Levi back to Shreveport to work and get back to the gym.
