1071: 50 Years

It is 11:12pm.

I am in Houma with my family celebrating my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. Tonight I went out to eat with lots of family members I haven't seen in I don't know how long lol. It was really nice. We had a good time--and the food was pretty good too.

I think the best part was watching my aunt and uncle dance and smile together. Just seeing love last for that long is so beautiful. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it.

Marriage is hard work sometimes. Marriage is boring sometimes. Marriage is not always what we dreamed it what would be.... But marriage is also a promise of love, and using that love to work through all of the icky stuff to find happiness together.

I am no marriage expert. I kind of suck at being a wife sometimes and I have hurt my husband by making some bad decisions in the past, but I am really thankful for my husband and our marriage. I hope that we can share a lifetime of making each other smile.

I could write a book about all the emotions pouring through me right now, but I need to get some sleep. In the morning I am getting up early to go see my friend Jenny. She lives in England and is visiting the U.S. right now. I haven't seen her in so many years. I am really excited to see her tomorrow :)

Sending you all lots of love.

Go change the world. Do it for Elijah.

Thank you.

Oh my sweet boy.
I love and miss you so much.
Always.

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
