Can I become a professional pumpkin painter? Like, is that a thing? I think it should be. If you want a pumpkin painted for this halloween, I'll be glad to give you a price lol. I could now paint pumpkins all day. I don't want to stop on the pumpkins I am painting now, but it is getting late and Levi has to get up early in the morning so we have all tried to start going to bed earlier... I am still not very good at it lol.
My arm is still giving me some trouble today, but not so much. Tomorrow I am going to call the doctor to see about getting back on my nerve meds, just for a little while...until I can work with a chiropractor regularly.
The worst part about the nerve pain is that takes a toll on my talents. It hurts to type and to paint, so I am limited to what I can really do sometimes. But I haven't let it stop me. I just have to know when to cut back.,,,
And I'm also not sure if I will ever being able to rock climb up a mountain ;) lol. But maybe one day I will prove myself wrong. (I should probably work out more if I really want to do this...)
Anyways, today I went grocery shopping, which is HUGE deal considering I haven't done that in a couple of weeks lol. And I'm pretty sure I got everything we need for the week? Maybe....lol. I am proud that I managed to plan 4 nights of vegetarian meals this week! Still working on the "healthier" vegetarian options, but I feel better about making less of a negative impact on the environment. I don't judge meat eaters, I just am not a fan of our current food system...it's sad and really gross. I also am cutting back on dairy. I use "nut milks" if possible, or substitute apple sauce for eggs when I can. The hardest dairy to cut back on is butter and cheese. Butter I can at least find pasture raised. Cheese is hard to buy ethically...so I need to work on cutting back or finding a nondairy alternative... but at least I am making a step in the right direction. Tonight Julien even enjoyed veggie "chicken nuggets!" and asked for more :)
I did end up returning back to Walmart today for a second trip lol, because they are the only place in town that sells mini pumpkins and I want to paint multiple pumpkins for my artist blog and then give them out as acts of kindness in memory of Elijah for Halloween <3
And that has pretty much been my day. Grocery shopping and pumpkin painting...it's a beautiful day.
Alright, time to take some night time pain meds so I can get some sleep. Tomorrow is actually when the trunk or treat thing is. So I did get a bit of a break there. The kids are so excited and I am excited to see them in their costumes. Alex is one of the kittens who lost his mitten, Gabe is the wacky tube blow up guy, and Julien is a super cool ninja! Elijah is always Linus in my mind <3 So I am painting him a Linus pumpkin for the pumpkin glow this year.
Good night everyone.
Go change the world. Do it for Elijah.
Thank you.
Oh sweet boy.
I hope you see my Linus pumpkin shine bright for you.
I love and miss you so very much.
Always.
<3
