That moment when it happens to you...

I have been keeping a small journal where I try to make a list everyday so I can remind myself of the things I truly am thankful for.

However, outside of that, lately I have been really focused on how I can make a difference in other peoples' lives; And I had let it become stressful, which was not what I had intended at all.

I have been reading a lot of leadership and 'self help' books these past few weeks for work related purposes, and the one thing that has really touched me is the ability we have to choose our attitude and how positive thinking can bring about positive happenings in our lives.

I know it sounds incredibly cheesy, and believe me, I was pretty apprehensive, but I decided to give it a shot anyways, and it seems to be coming around!

I started with making a "I want" book. These are things like making my project happen, a nice house for my sons to grow up on, and I pasted a few lottery tickets in there as well.

Since I have started that "I want" book, I have won on 3 separate lottery tickets! Even though the amounts have been small, with each ticket, the return was bigger :)

Admittedly, I am still a little skeptical, because it's hard to believe anything is just that easy...But what if it is?

Today, while I was getting a few groceries, something happened. For some reason, my card would just not process the full payment.  The balance left was something like $14, so I told the cashier to just cancel it, and I would come back later. But at that very moment, the manager walked up and offered to just pay for my ticket, with no strings attached!

The very kindness I wanted so dearly to offer to others, was happening to me! I left thinking about how great it felt, and how much I wanted to make my project a reality. And then I started to believe (just a little bit) that it really could happen!

(And the first step to achieving is believing!)

So, I researched some more fund raising opportunities, and I found an amazing fundraiser website and set up a page:

http://www.gofundme.com/kindhartusa

The great thing about this page is that it let me make a "want list" or "wish list" of items I would need for my project, so it really gives you guys an opportunity to see some of the acts of kindness I will be preforming, and to see where your money will be going!!

So, stay positive, be thankful, and go after your dreams! You never know what can happen :)

Have a great night <3

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
