Welcome to my blog. It's a bit of a mess. I'm a bit of a mess. It used to be about just kindness. Now it is about finding strength in the darkest places. Discovering love through grief. Traveling this beautiful world. And continuing to practice kindness all because of a little boy I love and miss very much. I hope you find inspiration in all my ramblings. #loveelijah

Love Thy Neighbor
Know the saying, "Love thy neighbor?" Well...there are some neighbors who are easier to love than others, but you have to find a way if you want to save your peace of mind.
My new downstairs neighbors seemed to be challenged by the fact that we have 3 small boys with pretty heavy feet. lol.
I have been nothing but nice about the adjustment process for both them and us. I even brought them a thank you card and some yummy chocolates telling them I appreciated their patience as the boys learn to be a little bit more quiet; However, there are still numerous bangs on the ceiling, telling me my act of kindness wasn't enough for them.
ugh...
I just finished listening to the ebook "The Power." (which I highly recommend...its free on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsDwk-TNFWU) In it, the author talks about how people can be your personal emotional trainers. Just like a physical trainer, some personal emotional trainers push you harder to love than others. But when you find that love, they will no longer bother you because you will know that you are strong enough and wise enough to continue to love and be happy.
Now, believing this may be a little challenging, especially if you have people in your lives like my new neighbor. But I know that deep down in my heart, I do have some type of love and understanding for them... and I am being the bigger person by not giving in to the other part deep down in me that just wants to have an impromptu marching parade in my living room right now...
So first remember to be kind and love. Love with all your heart, because you will find true happiness there. But also remember that if you move into an apartment complex with upstairs neighbors with kids, there is a possibility that things could get a little bumpy at times...
Thank you for reading :)
