30%

Today was a great day for The Kind Knight.
After leaving work from lack of sleep last night and complete exhaustion today, I managed to sit in bed all day and tag a million people on facebook and ask for their pledges.
Immediately after that, I took a nap.
I woke up to an amazing afternoon of icecream with the hubs and kids and $277 in pledges coming in (and hopefully more to follow).
My sincerest thank you to any and all of you who have supported me throughout this journey no matter how you do it. Shares, likes, word of mouth, emails, pledges, etc.
We are at 30% funding and still have 16 days left to raise around $3,450. I am remaining optimistic. I think we can pull it off.
I finally heard back from the library and they are asking that I be a part of their summer reading program, which is cool. I was hoping for something sooner, but the theme is "heros" and I am excited for them to view The Kind Knight in such a way. So that was good news.
Oh and crazy enough, as it turns out, I discovered that my husband's uncle is an author. Pretty impressive too! He has been a New York Times Best Seller. (pretty legit huh?)
Here is his amazon profile:

Anyways, I got to speak to Charles (Mr. Charles? Charlie? Chuck? lol) on the phone today and he was super nice and offered all kinds of great advice. It was just really great to have someone who has experience and knows what they are doing give a little bit of guidance.
I am still excited about this Saturday and the adventures of my husband dressed up as a knight. I really think it will help us meet our goal and get funded. But right now, I need to go get ready for bed. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and a lot more work that needs to be done tomorrow afternoon.
As always, I could NOT do any of this without your support, so thank you again (and again).
Be Kind,
Kelly Airhart

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
