I will probably be up all night thanks to this Unicorn flavored energy I just finished drinking lol. (Not the greatest life choice...but who doesn't want to try a drink called Rainbow Unicorn?)
Today was a pretty relaxing day. My mom was in town and I went to church with her. I am so thankful for these young priest who are preaching about love and perspective. It is a huge contrast to the doom and gloom end of days scary stuff I listened to as a child.
The Priest (or maybe Deacon...we weren't sure), talked today about the miracle where Jesus performs the miracle where Peter catches an abundant amount of fish after not being able to catch anything for an extended period of time. He said that the true miracle was not so much that Luke suddenly caught so many fish, it was that Jesus helped him change the way he was looking at the lake. The truth is, the fish were probably there the whole time--it is a lake after all. But Peter didn't find the fish until Jesus pointed him in the right direction. Once his viewpoint changed, so did his outcome. Pretty cool right?
Even if you are not a religious or spiritual person, there is still much to be learned here. If you can change the way you look at a situation, you might find miracles happening for you as well.
The young Priest (or Deacon lol), also mentioned that is was through the eyes of a an engineer that Watt saw the every day occurrence of steam pushing up the lid of a tea pot which inspired him to later design the steam locomotive. It was through the eyes of a scientist that Neuton saw the natural occurrence of an apple falling from a tree and was inspired to write the theory of gravity. It is through spiritual eyes that we must look if we want to live a spiritual life. It is through loving eyes that we must look if we want to live a loving life. And it is through our own eyes that we must look if we want to live an authentic life. (I may have added the last two perceptions...)
So what type of vision do you have right now? How do you see the world?
Albert Einstein once said, "There is only two way to live your life: as though nothing is a miracle, or as everything is a miracle."
It's your choice.
Have mad faith. Choose love. Live courageously. And adjust those "glasses."
Sending you all lots of love.
Go change the world. Do it for Elijah.
Thank you.
Oh my goodness. You are the cutest.
I love and miss you so much Elijah.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
I am so proud to be your mom.
Always.
