no complaints: day 12

It is 9:16 pm.

Today the boys and I went on another hike..a four mile one...we are getting ready for something big.

but let us jump back to yesterday for a moment...

because yesterday was the first time I have picked up my canon (camera) in a while...

we actually lost the battery charger before Elijah was born I just recently got one for it again from a friend...

It was emotional to try to use it again, because it almost felt like betrayal...but I did it...and then I realized that I am really rusty.

I did get a few beautiful images from yesterday and today, but there were also lots of not so great ones too...lol.

Here are a few of the good ones:

(Rose is the name of the baby from the first ever Love, Elijah letter I received. I think of her often. It was so lovely to find her name today).

(for my sweet sweet Elijah. God I miss him so.)

(Just the randomness of Alex...Idk...I just love the lighting)

(finding hearts are like little gifts from angels in heaven)

Colorful little mushroom

(Elijah's name in the sand again...this time on a beautiful lake with a beautiful sky)

Still a little rusty...but still not too too bad...I'll get there again.

As far as no complaining goes...well...I think I did pretty okay today. But I'm sure I could always do better...

The only thing that could make such a beautiful world more beautiful would be more love...
and for you to be in my arms again.
I miss you so much Elijah.
It's not even a tiny bit fair.
Help me hang in there buddy.
I love you.

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
