586: New Floors and Old Friends

It is 11:38pm.

Today was a good day.

This morning I cleaned house for a friend of mine who used to live right down the road from me as a kid. Growing up together, I probably stayed at her house more than I ever did mine-- playing outside on the trampoline or riding bikes.

It was really great to see her and catch up. We talked a lot about life, God, and we both shared our stories of child loss.

Sometimes it is good to be able to talk to people who understand your struggle and to share stories of imperfections in our lives. It reminds us that we are never really alone.

After we left her house, we decided to go see Levi since we were already headed in that direction and the kids and I have really missed him lately.

We went to Home Depot and used the gift cards an awesome person we love very much gifted us, and were able to get enough supplies to put in a new floor on the bus this weekend! I am so excited and so incredibly thankful. We even have about $50 left over, so we can use that towards something else at some point in time.

This Saturday is my birthday, so my celebration will be the new floor :)

Things are also looking up with The Harry Potter camp we are planning. We might have a location secured; We will find out something this coming week.

I am thankful.

I am also pretty tired.

Thank you guys for reading. As always, I love you so very much--and I mean it. Hope you are having a beautiful day too. I think we all deserve it!

Please keep praying for our world. Pray for our country. Pray for my family. Pray for me. Pray for you! And always always pray for my sweet Elijah.

Thank you so much.

Oh sweet boy.
Talking about you today brought tears to my eyes,
but a joy to my heart.
I love and miss you so much.
Always my boogie.
Always.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
