928: The Dandelion

It is 9:31pm.

This morning I made a wish on a dandelion for a positive change and direction. As soon as I blew the seeds into the wind, the Universe must have giggled as it blew the seeds right back in my face.

I need to work on myself.

I have grown immensely in these last couple of years, and I am proud of the progress that I have made, but at the same time there are so many things that I need to get better at.

For instance, this morning I said I was going to come home to pray, meditate, write out a list of things I am thankful for and make a new "Spiritual Sunday" ritual for myself.

Instead I came home, uploaded some pictures from our Grand Canyon trip last March, felt sorry for myself because I feel stuck and we haven't traveled any yet this year. Then I folded clothes while watching Arrested Development all afternoon. Somewhere in all that mix, I daydreamed a little bit about making fancy donuts and ice coffee for the Farmer's Market, and I also made some pigs in the blanket.

So while I didn't completely waste the day, I am still the girl who promised herself about a month ago that she would make a new vision board and hasn't even started to place one dream onto paper--with no real excuse as to this lame procrastination.

The Universe is not in charge of my direction, it can guide me, it can support me, but ultimately it is my decision to choose the direction I take and make the positive change for myself.

Tomorrow I have a meeting with the daughter of the Mayor of Bossier City. I'm not exactly sure where this meeting is going to go, or what exactly we are talking about, but it was an opportunity presented to me, so it is an opportunity I am going to show up to and be thankful for.

Sending you all lots of love! Have faith and follow your dreams, because you deserve to. I love you all!

Go change the world. Do it for Elijah.

Thank you.

If it takes walking through a million failures
just to make it to the one thing that helps me share your story with the world,
then I will walk through every one,
because you are worth it.
Our love will change the world Elijah.
We are worth it.
I love and miss you so much.
Always.

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
