Like a Ninja...a Ninja of Kindness

Today was truly a wonderful day.

I teach a welcome day class for the resort I work at, and today I had a very magical "student."

This student's name was Chris, and Chris had a few special needs.

It wasn't until after class that I really made a connection with Chris, assisting him with his receiving his new costume and then his brand new work schedule! He was so excited, and ready to come back and work.

I also had the opportunity to speak to his mother on the phone, and the love and joy these two shared for each other was touching.

While I was on the phone with her, she gave me some good news to share with Chris and he was so excited but the very first thing he said was, "tell my mom thank you and I love her!"

When it was time for Chris to clock out, I walked him out to the bus stop that's when he asked if we would be working together. Sadly I had to tell him that I would not be in his line of business, but I would always be near by.

Chris was the little bit of magic that made my day.

But ya know what else made my day today?

Day 2 of R.A.O.K.s to spread awareness for my kickstarter:

So today's Random Act of Kindness was hanging 22 goodie bags on 22 randomly chosen doorknobs. (without getting caught, or looking like a creeper)

And I pulled it off successfully....like a ninja....a ninja of kindness...

The funniest part of this experience is that I was really scared of getting caught...lol...not sure why really. I guess maybe I thought that someone would tell me they didn't want the candy??? But I was legit nervous of someone catching me in my acts of kindness...lol.

Anyway, I really hope it made someone's day (or I guess 22 someone's days)!

ALSO, before I end this blog, I want to say a quick thank you to those who have backed my project. You're support is amazing, and I can't thank you enough for it! So thank you dad, Jenny, Chris G., and Scott! You guys rock!

Well, its time to start working on tomorrow's r.a.o.k.

Have a good night!

Kelly Airhart

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
