Today is just one of those days where I am pretty sure I could've given up on this project....
My last blog got only 15 reads...
Even after paying Facebook $7.00 to promote my post, I can't even get people to share a post to win free cookies from smileycookie.com. (I'm really confused on this one...FREE cookies are the best!!!)
AND
It is starting to feel like no one cares...or maybe just very few people care.
And it is with sincerity and a little bit of frustration when I say:
It is time to care!
With all that is going on in the world, maybe what I am doing seems small and insignificant.
I'm not changing laws.
I'm not stopping wars.
I'm not changing the world.
HOWEVER....
Everyone needs kindness.
Everyone deserves love.
AND...
I will be changing many peoples' world.
I will find my way and I am going to make this happen.
And If I choose to let silly things like facebook posts and blog views upset me, then let's be honest... I would never get anywhere...
So I am choosing to continue the kindness...and I really hope you do too.
It's really funny how all of this leads me to a quote by Mother Teresa and a song from Journey, but I can't think of a better way to end my blog:
“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
~Mother Teresa
