I had Sunday morning off.
So I decided to be brave and take all 3 of my boys to church....
But daycare was closed again.
And this time with no miracle opening.....
Bummer.
Well, maybe not a total bummer.
Instead of just returning to our apartment for another day of sitting around wasting time... I decided to do something fun with the kids that I had always wanted to do.
We went to the Clermont Downtown Farmer's Market.
After doing a little shopping, we then walked down to the lake and enjoyed the view.
(He was a lot more happy that he appears in this picture...lol..it was just really hot)
I am not really sure why I have never brought the boys to the farmer's market before. It was always something I really wanted to do.
Maybe its just that I have been tired from work.
Maybe its because I was just afraid I would spend too much money (which I probably did).
Or maybe because I have been putting off things just because I assume that one day they will happen.
And you know, I had a lot of things that were suppose to be happening this week, but they didn't.
If I had my way, I would have been on my journey of 1,000 acts of kindness right now...
or I would have been able to do my 1,000 cupcakes for kindness...
But sometimes we don't get our way...
and you can't let that stop you for living for today, and appreciating what you can do.
The point I am making is, whatever you can do, do it.
Don't make stupid excuses for not doing things that you want to do, especially when they are ready and available for you to do so.
Tomorrow is not promised to us.
And while I have been spending a lot of time dreaming about all the things I can do someday when I have the time or money to, I have been wasting the present moments in my life...and that really stinks.
So, maybe I spent a little bit more money than I should have this morning at the farmer's market... but the outcome was something way more valuable that I could have ever bought. I had an amazing morning with the most important people in my life. (Who, by the way, are super hard to get to smile and look in the same direction for pictures...)
So, what did I spend my money on?
I got an awesome Vidalia Onion that turned into some awesome onion sticks (kind of like onion rings, only way easier to cut).
The kids picked out some soap they liked, some yummy plums, cherries and a pineapple.
Plus Alex got this really cool Pepsi bottle to add to his cola bottle collection. They apparently use to stretch the bottles out with heat, fill them with bubble gum, and then give them out as prizes at fairs. We both thought this was really cool.
And we even got our dog Opie some doggie cookies that he seemed to enjoy.
Enjoy everyday you have, and live it to its fullest.
That's all I have for you guys!
Have a great day :)
Kelly
