4 Hours of Sitting at Mc Donald's...it's been a long day

I have been sitting in Mc Donald's now for over 4 hours... needless to say it's been a rough day.

My car is in the shop right now.

I brought it in to get the tire fixed because I ran over a screw, and while they had it I asked how long would it take for them to just check the ac unit, and they told me an hour.... that was at 11:45 this morning.

It is now 5:28pm.

I have eaten 3 cheese sticks, 2 cookies and have had one frozen coffee thing. It's been a long day.

After calling my mom to gripe about the car situation, I found out my grandmother, who has been in hospice care sometime battling lung cancer, is in her final few days.

I sat here in my little side corner booth, taking up way too much room for one single person, and just cried.

Here I am complaining about my stupid car, and my mom is preparing to loose her mom...I can't even begin to imagine how she must be feeling.

There have been so many grandparents in and out of Mc Donald's today with their grandkids.

It has brought back so many memories of the time I spent at my grandparents when I was a kid.

It wasn't that often that I got to see her, but I always knew that my grandmother loved me.

She is such a strong woman- bossy and quite humorous in her own little way. I love that about her.

I also have all the blessings of times spent with cousins at my grandparents' house too. There were so many of us, and even more now.

We were a wild bunch...lol. But we still hold a very strong bond, and I am quite thankful for that.

Well, I think I am going to try and call the shop again. I am hoping they should be done soon...

On a brighter note, after sitting here for hours on end, I managed to make a new author webpage today!

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
