Day 3 of Children's Book Week: Kindness Cupcake Bookmarks Craft

I wanted to get the kids involved in this, but today got pretty busy and now they are in bed.

But I enjoyed this craft anyway and I am excited to share it with you :)

Happy Children's Book Week!

How to make Kindness Cupcake Bookmarks!

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

For this craft you will need:

colorful paper
scissors (parents please make sure you supervise your munchkins or have kid safe scissors)
glue or a glue stick
a marker or crayon

Step 2: Make your "Base."

Choose what color (or pattern) you want to make the "base" of your bookmark and then cut a nice clean rectangle.

I picked a fun chevron pattern!

Step 3: Make your Cupcake.

I would suggest using 2 separate colors of paper for this. I made the cake part of my cupcake a funky purple, and the icing part a nice strong blue!

Step 4: Don't Forget the Sprinkles!

I made some cute little heart sprinkles, and of course a cherry for the topper!

Step 5: Glue Everything Together and Add the Finishing Touches

Step 6: Share With Your Friends, or Use With Your Favorite Book!

I hope you enjoyed tonight's arts and craft activity. And I hope you get the chance to make your own kindness cupcake bookmarks!
