No one will ever look back at my life story and say, she changed the world by leaving quarters in gumball machines. Wait. Listen...here me out.
They will say I changed the world, because I loved. Because I chose kindness. Because I am choosing to write and make positive choices. The quarters are just a byproduct of this love I have for others.
I hear from people all the time that they are so inspired by me, and the truth is that I am so thankful to hear this BUT anyone can do what I do. Right now, I don't have much to give, but I give anyway. I am not an expert at anything, but I teach and write about what I do know. I make an effort.
Your life is a series of choices. Shit will happen. BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE AND IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT. However, we still have a responsibility to ourselves to pick up the pieces and mend them into something beautiful and purposeful.
Is it fair? No. I would give anything to not be writing these blogs or putting quarters in gumball machine if it meant having Elijah back. But a day after he died, I made a choice. I made a promise. I told Levi that I was going to change the world for him, because I truly love my son that much. He is that important to me.
So I've made a choice to move forward with my life--and I will continue to try my best each day to do everything I can to change the world for Elijah, for my other children, for my husband, for myself, and for all of mankind. Because we are worth it. Every single one of us was born with love in our hearts. Some of us just have a harder time accessing it than others I suppose...but most of it comes down to personal choice.
What choices are you making with your life right now? Are you taking risks? Are you making an effort? Are you painting the pictures your scared to paint and selling the products when your not sure if anyone will buy? Are you putting yourself out there? Are you being authentic to you? Are you loving--like REALLY loving--without judgment or fear? Are you living your best life right now? And if not, what can you do to change it.
We have some big changes coming our way. This is why I am trying so hard to push selling paintings and cookies. If you'd like either of these things, please reach out via my facebook page. P.S. This blog wasn't a sales pitch lol...this is all genuine and from the heart.
Your life is a blessing. It is a gift. You have days and moments my son will never have. If you can't see how valuable your time here on Earth is, I don't know how else to put it in perspective for you...
Make the choices that are going to give YOU peace. In the end, that is the most valuable thing you can do for everyone, especially you.
Sending you guys all lots of love.
Go change the world. Do it for Elijah.
Thank you.
I will always speak of you.
I will always love harder because of you.
I will always wish you were here with us.
You are always a part of this family.
We miss and love you.
Every day.
Always.
