889: Official Night Owl

It is 12:25am.

I am officially turning into a night owl. Lol. I had no idea it was this late because I have been working so hard on my book. The inside is officially done! THANK GOD!!!!

Now, my focus is the cover and making sure it is perfect.

Here is what I have so far:

Front Cover:

Back Cover:

I really love both covers. However, my concern is with the back cover. I have done some research into what goes on the back cover of a children's book, and there are a million different answers lol. I did use some advice on putting my summary together. I also got some spelling and grammar help via my awesome Facebook friends.

What I am worried about is that because I already have a short "in memory of" on the front cover sheet inside the book, and an author bio in the VERY back of the book--that maybe the picture of me and the short blurb about Elijah might be too much?!?! I am very attached to the "cause" behind the book, but I don't want it to scare people off, nor do I want to take away from the actual story in the book--if that makes sense.

People judge books by their covers--let's be real. I just want my cover to be inviting and show why the book is important. I think it accomplished that. So I will surrender it to the Universe and go to bed happy tonight, knowing I am that much closer to being "finished."

I guess I should get some sleep. Tomorrow is another tax prep day and I am getting my hair cut!!! I am so excited. Tomorrow is going to be an amazing day.

Sending you all lots of love and good vibes. Follow your dreams! You can do it.

Keep praying for our world. Pray for our Earth. Pray for our families. Pray for our children. Pray for hope. Pray for peace. Pray for love. Pray for you! Pray for me. And always always pray for my sweet sweet Elijah.

Thank you.

Oh Elijah.
I hope that wherever this book takes us,
it makes you smile.
I love and miss you so so so much.
Always.

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
