Charity Miles

I have an app on my phone that I have been trying to share with my friends lately.

And if you are a walker, runner, bike rider, or like me--move a lot at work, this app can help you do what you love, while donating to charity at no cost to you...just a little hard work. (Yikes, what a poorly composed sentence...oh well, I never promised to be a great writer...lol)

The App is called Charity Miles.

It's a free app, and it is just wonderful. I love it and want you to check it out.

Once you start the app, you will be prompted to choose from a list of charities.

Once you've chosen your charity, you begin your workout!

The app tracks how many miles you have walked, ran, or biked, and also tells you what you have contributed to the chosen charity, just by doing physical activities that you already enjoy!

Or maybe you don't really enjoy these physical activities, but need some motivation to get started! Perhaps knowing that walking that extra mile today could help feed one more family might be just the motivation you need :)

Anyways, it's a really cool idea, and I hope that you download the app today on your phone, and start donating to your favorite charities!

And a quick update on our back to school celebration.

I've gotten a few more donations, which is really exciting.

Today I was able to purchase 100 notebooks, 50 folders and 50 rulers was the donations I have collected.

(This pic is a mess, just like my car, but I wanted to share our awesome progress!
Thank you to everyone who has donated!)

If you would like to contribute, don't forget that you can do so by one of these methods:

1. Paypal link at right hand corner of page.
2. Mailing school supplies or gift cards to The Giving Tree P.O. Box 135711 Clermont, Fl 34713
3. Emailing a Target Gift Card to givingtreemobile@gmail.com (Target donates one school supply item to needy kids for every target brand school supply purchased from them. Double Win!)

Once again, thanks for all of the support. And Check Out that App!

Be Kind!

1,520 days: Overwhelm.

It is 8:49am. Everyone is still asleep... I have my "happy light" shining into my  peripheral  vision, and my vitamins and medic...
