"I really need to blog." I said, "But I feel like my blogs are boring. I feel like I need to make them more personal, right now they are just informative."
We joked a little about my blogs being boring because I, myself, am a little bit boring at times.
But, in all honesty, all I feel like I have been writing about lately is events I am planning, and then asking for people to donate so that they can happen.
Nobody wants to read about that...well other than the 6 or 7 people that read my last blog post...lol.
Anyways, so I figured today I would start making an effort to put more "me" into my blog.
So, I would like to introduce you to my family.
First, there is me. Kelly.
This shameless selfie is pretty much dead on what I look like most of the time. Pearl earrings my husband gave me for my birthday/anniversary that make me feel pretty. The headband in my hair to hide the fact that I have been too broke to buy hair dye and my roots are looking pretty horrible right now. No makeup, because what mother of 3 boys has time to deal with makeup? (Seriously, this girl is lucky if she can squeeze in a shower most days.) And a tshirt...because its cute and comfy.
I am a hopeless dreamer, and I dream big. My dad has actually had to give me the "don't dream too big" speech in hopes that I don't get my heart broken.
My life would be complete if I could be a full time blogger and "stay at home" mom that homeschools my children and travels, while changing the world with kindness. (not too much to ask right?)
Am I there right now? no...but It's highly possible that all of those things could happen.
Right now, I am a full time lifeguard/recreation coordinator at The Happiest Place on Earth, which is not to shabby of a job either.
My passions are photography (which I have been slacking on lately), kindness, and positivity. But mostly my true passion lies in the lives of my children. They are my everything.
And with that being said...let's talk about my kids!!!
First, my son Alex.
Alex is 11. He loves Legos, playing outside, building and designing things, and being adventurous. I was almost tempted to say that he is your typical 11 year old boy, except that he is not. Alex has such a sweet soul and is a wonderful kid. There is nothing typical about him. I am so happy he is in my life, and I can't wait to see him grow into a smart, and caring young man.
Next, is my son Julien.
Julien is 5.
He is crazy, silly, rambunctious, loud, and a little bit of a trouble maker. He always has something smart or funny to say. He's hard headed for sure. But, he loves learning, and is a little bit of a momma's boy. He loves to tell me that I'm his "best mom." He makes my heart smile.
And last is my son Gabriel.
Gabriel is Horribly 3 right now. He is quite a mess. Always in trouble, refuses to by potty trained, and will not keep his clothes on for anything. But he completes our family, and I love him anyways. Gabriel loves to sing and dance, and excited about everything. He loves learning his letters and numbers, and thinks his older brothers are the coolest. He's very lucky he's so stinkin' cute, or he would be in trouble almost 100% of the time...lol... but like I said, he completes us, and we love him very much!
And then we have my husband, Levi.
We don't always see eye to eye, but when it comes down to every crazy decision I have, he supports me all the way. He always has my back, and I can't thank him enough for that. As far as his interests go, he swears he doesn't have any. But I know that he loves his children and our family, and he's a bit of a nerd too ;)
So that is us.
You will not find a stick figure family on the back of our SUV, nor will you ever find us wearing matching t-shirts (unless they are to support my projects or a cause), but we are a family. And we love each other.
So, it's still kind of informative, but I hope its the beginning of me opening up in my blogs a little bit more, and making them more personal.
Now, to get the kids to the playground for a quick play date before I have to get ready to go to work.
Have a great day, and don't forget about the Back to School Celebration this coming Friday that I am still trying to collect funds/school supplies for. If you want to donate, you can do so by using the paypal link at the top right hand corner of the page.
Thanks always for reading :)
Be kind,
Kelly Airhart
